School Holiday Wheel Throwing Class

About this activity

Kids pottery on the wheel at Silky Shapes Pottery Studio in Willoughby, for ages 10 and up. The teacher starts with a fun demonstration of throwing on the wheel, then helps each child make their own cups, bowls, planters and candle holders. At the end each child picks their best pot and chooses a glaze colour. The studio trims, glazes and fires it, and it is ready to collect from the studio 2 to 3 weeks later. 2 hours. Kids 10 and older can come on their own. All clay, tools and firing included. Wear casual clothes and shoes - it gets messy!
