1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing and using ParentPal (“the Platform”), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to these Terms of Service, please do not use the Platform.
2. Use of service
2.1 Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use this Platform. By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age.
2.2 Account registration
You may need to create an account to access certain features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
2.3 Prohibited uses
You agree not to use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the Platform.
3. Bookings and payments
3.1 Booking activities
When you book an activity through ParentPal, you enter into a contract directly with the activity provider. ParentPal acts as a platform to facilitate these bookings.
3.2 Payment processing
All payments are processed securely through our payment provider (Stripe). By making a booking, you authorise ParentPal to charge your payment method for the total amount.
3.3 Cancellations and refunds
Cancellation and refund policies vary by activity provider. Please review the specific cancellation policy for each activity before booking. Generally, cancellations made more than 30 days before the activity date are eligible for a full refund.
4. Provider responsibilities
Activity providers agree to:
- Provide accurate information about their activities
- Deliver services as described in their activity listings
- Maintain appropriate insurance and safety standards
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
- Pay the agreed platform commission on all bookings
5. Intellectual property
All content on the Platform, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of ParentPal or its content suppliers and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
6. Limitation of liability
ParentPal acts as a platform connecting parents with activity providers. We do not provide the activities ourselves and are not responsible for:
- The quality, safety, or legality of activities listed
- The accuracy of activity descriptions or provider information
- The ability of providers to deliver services as promised
- Any injuries, damages, or losses incurred during activities
7. Disputes
Any disputes arising from bookings should first be addressed directly with the activity provider. If a resolution cannot be reached, please contact ParentPal support for assistance.
8. Privacy
Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
9. Changes to terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify users of any material changes via email or through the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
