About this activity
Introduce them to a sport they can enjoy for life. Our program blends essential sailing theory with hands-on practice, built around dynamic, game-based sessions that work for complete beginners and sailors with some experience alike. Sailors are grouped by age and ability. Younger sailors train in Optimists, while older or more advanced sailors progress to O'pen Skiffs. Up to 6 sailors to each instructor. Minimum age 7. Please note: sailors new to the program need a minimum of two days. Sailors who have sailed with us before can book single days. The day • 9:30am to 3:00pm • Free early drop-off from 8:30am, with supervised games and movies • Supervised pickup any time between 3:00pm and 5:30pm What to bring Sun-safe clothing, a long-sleeve rash vest, lunch, snacks and a water bottle. Secure footwear such as old trainers or wetsuit booties. Crocs and thongs can't be worn on the boats or the wharf. Lifejackets are provided and worn whenever anyone is near the water. Sign in at the desk behind the Manly Sailing office, on the wharf level beneath Manly Yacht Club at the end of the East Esplanade path.
